Liu born in Anhui, China in 1932, moved to Taiwan in 1949. He had been invited to have various forms of exhibitions in worldwide for over hundreds times, and became the most representative ink wash painter in the world. Liu also kept his artistic exploration continuously, and invented his new techniques and materials. These achievements had advanced the traditional ink wash to a new generation, and earned the fame of ‘the Father of Contemporary Ink Wash'.
