Chen Yi-Ru (b 1984) creates paintings, three-dimensional objects, and installations. Named the rising star in Young Art Kaohsiung in both 2015 and 2016, Chen’s paintings are composed of bright, vibrant colors and form scenes of life that seem both familiar and dreamlike, questioning the “authenticity” of the world.
