ABOUT THE ARTIST
Bertram Baenziger's pictures stand in the tradition of abstract realism, as they were masterfully portrayed by Saul Leiter. The blur arises from the transitions that represent the essential constant of human existence. The images emerge in the mind and are only then incompletely translated into a photographic language. They are spontaneously produced and not processed in any way.
