ABOUT THE ARTIST
Sculptor Cao Yun (b.1986) holds a master’s degree in sculpture from Tsinghua University. For Cao, the horse represents the aspirations of youth and the evolution of their thoughts as they enter adulthood. The artist often sits in the studio watching her sculptures in order to gradually discover their inner soul. This in turn dictates how the piece is formed.
