ABOUT THE ARTIST

Astrid Baenziger (b. 1965) works mainly with acrylic colors and combines her artworks with collages. Painting in an abstract manner, Baenziger also works with clear motifs. The artist reflects her personal experiences and political statements as a woman and a human being through her art, in form and content. In Baenziger’s artworks, the artist speaks for minorities and their rights while allowing the viewer to find humor, and win their hearts, ultimately.
