The Asia Contemporary Art Show, held in Hong Kong every May and October, was founded by collector and gallery owner Mark Saunderson and business partner Douwe Cramer. Mark and Douwe are both active in the city’s vibrant art scene. “We are thrilled that the Show has developed so quickly, and has become the largest local event after Art Basel Hong Kong, and the only local art show held twice a year in the important Spring and Fall seasons.” said Mark. As well as supporting Hong Kong galleries and artists, we have created a real hub for exhibitors and collectors from all over Asia, as well as the USA, Europe and Australia.” Mark and Douwe also founded the Hong Kong Young Artist Prize in 2012; and the Hong Kong Art Prize in 2013, with the support of the Hong Kong Art Gallery Association and Wheelock Properties. The third edition of the Asia Contemporary Art Show takes place October 3rd to 6th 2013 at the JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong (27th – 30th floors).
